seven days of precious kofi

"Today Precious Kofi owns a production company. She is an actress and TV presenter of note,” Dr Di had told the graduates.

Precious professes how she is indebted to her mother who made her stand on the front door of their RDP house and pointed around the informal settlement saying to her;‘Precious, don’t make this life your reality’. In the same breath Precious merrily declares her veneration for the creator:
I am where I am today because God opened the doors for me”.

Precious is an individual with an enviable fighting spirit and determination to succeed

Precious promises a couple of surprises for her die-hard fans. It is only a matter of time before she elopes to the states with her fiancé, whom she refuses to divulge even the tiniest information about, or the details of their wedding. All I manage to squeeze out of her is that he's not in the entertainment industry. Precious plans on settling in the states but will come back from time to time because the subject matter for her documentaries will always be Africa.

As we conclude our conversation, she imparts wisdom that can only be harvested through living and learning;
“Don't let your background determine your destiny”.

I now know Precious Kofi as an individual with an enviable fighting spirit and determination to succeed, which ultimately sets her apart from her peers.

She is the girl who refuses to let her story own her.
