Past Pain Not Forgotten
by rosemary stroebel

Metal to Bone ,
Blood to tree ,
An innocent life is snatched away.

Sirens blaring ,
People screaming ,
A broken body on concrete does lie.

No apology shared ,
Vacant eyes, piercing ,
Cold metal on wrists to hold him.

A Beloved Mother lost ,
Taken away Today ,
A Family is left shaken.

No Chance of repreive ,
This life no longer shared ,
Memories are all that is left here now.

Hatred and Hurt ,
Born yet again today ,
No words spoken can ever erase them.
