Make Smart Choice
by jason la morris

Our world is our home,
and our home is our place
where we let our minds drift off into a world of deep thought
the world is a place where decisions are made,
and in the blink of an eye our world can change
maybe for the best or maybe for the worst
but it's up to us weather we have the thirst
the thirst to make the choice that will end up right
the choice that will prevent us from this HIV fight
a negative that has us in it's positive sight
ready to self-destruct if it sees us on site
somebody said yes
even though they knew it wasn't best
and that's the reason why their taking this HIV test
but the question is why couldn't they have just said no?
were they pressured by someone who really wanted it bad
or were they convinced in their minds that they just had to try
and not using abstinence
and then wondering why
why are they in a room waiting for blood to get taken
feet shaking cause it's fear and nervousness in their minds
hearts racing, steady pacing cause there's lives on the line
now their thinking to themselves wishing they could go back
back to the time where they had a better way to react
when they first made their decision they did not picture this as being
part of the plan
sitting in a waiting room with there fate in a clinic's hand.
