Home of My Roots
by phumlani mngcebele

This is a land of great warriors,
A land beckoning to be reckoned with,
A place of prosperity,
A land of ambitious icons, soldiers and warriors.
This is a home for gallant heroes and heroines.
African children fought apartheid diplomacy in Africa.
Africa…
The home of my roots.

Africa shall integrate with peace,
Love…
And harmony.
Africa is undeniably, my birth land,
My poetry
Is redeemed.
I am penetrative.
Yes!
I am artistic.
Holistic
In science.
My Africa,
The home of solidarity.
Africa,
The home of black humankind.
My Africa.
My Roots are in Africa.
