Disconnected
by nathi xinwa

I wanted to love you
From here
I yearned to kiss you from ear to ear
And yet I could not.

I dreamed about telling you
The clarity of my love
To proclaim the unbounded nature
Of my whole
And yet I could not.

I just thought
Maybe
You would forgive me
Understand and release me
From the tight noose of guilt
This painful
Emptiness you have for me
The icy hatred
You keep for me
And this love
You keep from me.
