Wise Fools
This dynamic duo is comprised of the stylish Siseko Pame and the dreamy Sipho Mtsatse.
They met in 2002, through a friend, and that’s then the magic started happening.
Siseko, born in East London and growing up in Duncan Village, had a strong musical background.
His dad was a pianist and his mother was making a strictly gospel collection. He (Siseko) is a keen player of the violin and sang in a gospel group, Gospel Unlimited.
Sipho, on the other hand, born in Port St. Johns and growing up in Mdantsane, had a vocal music influence. He grew up going to church and was involved in various gospel groups. He plays the guitar
They did the usual jam sessions together and finally decided to do something solid.
The world of music was then about to be introduced to them.
"we stand for God. we make clean, pure music that is encouraging to people. "

Nolusindiso (NN): What does the name “Wise Fools” mean?
Wise Fools (WS): It has a biblical meaning. It’s basically based on spirituality, our spirituality. You might be foolish to people but, to God you are wise.
NN: Who are You spiritually and what drives you?
WS: We stand for God. We make clean, pure music that is encouraging to people. The driving force for us is believing in God and people. In order to know God, you have to have a relationship with him and with other people. Our music is made to glorify God. The fact that people relate to our music also drives us.
NN: What goes through your minds when you make music?
WS: Our music is symphonic. The songs flow freely from our spirituality, mental state and emotional state when we make music. We compose it from the things that surround us.
NN: Are you fulfilled with your music & the level it’s in right now?
WS: With music, a person is never fully satisfied. You just want to reach a higher level and be better than before. Even if people enjoy your music, you just want to improve and do more. We haven’t really made an impact, we are still going to make it and leave a huge mark on the East London musical scene.
NN: What do you think has been the biggest change from when you started making your music till now?
WS: We have improved drastically from the first level. Now we know what we are doing, what we want to do, what we are going to do and who we are. We know our strengths and weaknesses and we write more music.
NN: What are some of your aspirations?
WS: We would like to take our music to the next level of professionalism.
NN: Who are your influences?
WS: We are influenced by different people…
SIPHO: I am influenced by Jonathan Butler, Brian McKnight, Ernie Smith, Judith Sephuma and Zamajobe.
SISEKO: I’m influenced by Jonathan Butler, Vuyo Mokoena, Yolanda Adams, George Benson and Simphiwe Dana
